PM Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan has met IMF’s tough conditions

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that Pakistan has met the tough conditions set by the IMF. Speaking at the SDG Moment 2024 Meeting during the 79th UN General Assembly, he thanked China, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE for their crucial support during financial challenges.

Shehbaz also urged developed countries to help nations like Pakistan, which face heavy debt worsened by natural disasters. He highlighted the 2022 floods, which caused $30 billion in damages, emphasizing the need for a fairer global financial system that supports developing countries.
