Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar acknowledged that the Pakistani passport ranks among the weakest globally, offering visa-free access to only 35 countries. Speaking during the 4th National Assembly session, he highlighted the challenges faced by the country’s travel document on the international stage. Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry attributed the declining reputation to overseas Pakistani lawmakers who support anti-Pakistan resolutions abroad. He emphasized that international respect for the passport cannot improve unless internal issues are addressed first. “You can make the passport look attractive, but unless we fix our problems at home, global perception won’t change,” Chaudhry remarked.
