Pakistan Proposes Zero-Tariff Bilateral Trade Deal with US

Pakistan has proposed a zero-tariff trade agreement with the United States in a bid to strengthen bilateral trade ties and stimulate economic growth. The deal would eliminate import taxes on traded goods, reducing costs and accelerating trade. In a parallel move, India has also offered a similar proposal, signaling growing competition between the two South Asian nations to secure better access to the U.S. market. Pakistani officials aim to boost exports, attract foreign investment, and support key sectors like textiles, agriculture, technology, and manufacturing through this initiative. A zero-tariff agreement could make Pakistani products more competitive worldwide and open new avenues for economic development.
