Pakistan emerged victorious in the semi-final clash against Malaysia during the Junior Asia Cup.

In a captivating Junior Asia Cup match held in Oman, Pakistan showcased their dominance by securing a resounding 6-2 victory over Malaysia. This impressive win has propelled Pakistan to the final, where they are set to face arch-rivals India on June 1.

In a parallel semi-final match, India demonstrated their prowess by defeating Korea with a commanding scoreline of 9-1. Pakistan’s qualification for the tournament finals marks their third consecutive appearance and their seventh overall. The standout player of the match was Abdul Rahman from Pakistan, who exhibited an exceptional performance, netting three goals and earning the well-deserved player of the match accolade.

Malaysia took an early lead with Parabo Tangaraja scoring a goal in the 21st minute. However, Muhammad Safyan equalized for Pakistan in the 42nd minute. Abdul Rahman swiftly followed up with a goal in the 44th minute, but Malaysia promptly equalized.

Pakistan regained control of the game as Abdul Hannan Shahid scored a field goal in the 47th minute, followed by two goals from Abdul Rahman in the 48th and 51st minutes. Arbaaz Ahmed sealed the victory for Pakistan with a goal in the 58th minute, culminating in a final score of 6-2 in favor of Pakistan.

Both India and Pakistan have maintained their undefeated record throughout the tournament. In the 2015 final held in Malaysia, India emerged triumphant over Pakistan with a 6-2 scoreline.
