KARACHI: The death of an 11-year-old girl in Surjani Town, earlier suspected to be a suicide, has been confirmed as murder following a postmortem examination. Police said her body was found on a rooftop late Monday night and later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the report confirmed strangulation as the cause of death. Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya said the findings contradicted initial claims of suicide. Authorities added that the victim’s parents were facing marital disputes, while an investigation is ongoing.
