The ICC has removed match referee Andy Pycroft from Pakistan’s remaining Asia Cup matches after a strong protest by the PCB, according to Indian media reports. The PCB accused Pycroft of biased conduct during the clash against India, alleging he disallowed the traditional handshake at the toss, which they termed against the spirit of cricket. Following Pakistan’s demand, the ICC reportedly accepted the request, with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi leading the stance. The board had also warned of withdrawing from the tournament if Pycroft was not replaced, while Naqvi held consultations with senior government officials to finalize the strategy.
