Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has warned that Pakistan’s patience over cross-border terrorism has “run out,” stressing that those sheltering militants will “have to answer.” Addressing the National Assembly, he proposed sending a delegation to Afghanistan to convey Pakistan’s concerns and urged unity among federal and provincial governments to tackle the security threat. Asif said Islamabad must make it clear that terrorist activities from Afghan soil are unacceptable. He recalled warning Afghan officials three years ago about militant sanctuaries being used for attacks in Pakistan. His remarks come amid a rise in cross-border militant attacks in the northwest.
