Umrah permits are now being issued by Saudi Arabia, marking the commencement of the pilgrimage process

Following the conclusion of Hajj, Saudi Arabia has officially commenced the Umrah season. According to Arab media reports, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia has initiated the issuance of Umrah permits. Initially, permits will be granted to residents of the Kingdom and individuals from Gulf countries.

Saudi citizens and guests from Gulf states can obtain the necessary permits through smartphone applications called Nasik and Tawaklan. The Nasik application aims to streamline the Umrah permit process while also incorporating a health platform that allows the government to monitor the well-being of visitors to the kingdom.

Furthermore, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has taken the decision to welcome Umrah pilgrims from various countries by introducing electronic Umrah visas, which will expedite the entry process for international pilgrims. This enables them to commence their journey promptly.
