Tourists stuck on Changla Street due to heavy snowfall in Nathiya Gali and Galiyat

Intense snowfall in Nathiagali and the Galiyat regions has resulted in numerous tourists becoming stranded along Changla Street. Treacherous road conditions have rendered vehicle movement difficult, resulting in extensive queues of cars.

Efforts by the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) personnel in conducting rescue operations have successfully assisted many stranded tourists, including those trapped in over 10 vehicles. In Murree, the Rawalpindi traffic police have devised a traffic management plan to aid tourists amidst snowfall. The Chief Traffic Officer advises tourists to exercise caution, opt for sturdy vehicles, and utilize tire chains. An emergency helpline is operational for tourist assistance and grievances. Meanwhile, Astore Valley Road remains closed due to adverse weather conditions, including rain, snow, and landslides, with teams actively engaged in road clearance operations.
