Saudi Government has offered Karim Benzema a salary of 400 million euros and the freedom to choose any club he wants

Karim Benzema, the Real Madrid striker, is contemplating his future with the club following a substantial offer from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The KSA has presented him with a staggering €400 million contract for their top football league, the Pro League, resembling Cristiano Ronaldo’s deal with Al Nassr club.

Initially, it seemed that Benzema had agreed to a one-year contract extension with Real Madrid to pursue the UEFA Champions League. However, the situation has evolved, and he is now carefully considering the lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, which not only offers a substantial payday but also attractive incentives.

If he accepts, Benzema will have the freedom to choose any club in the Saudi League and enjoy luxurious accommodations throughout his time there. Furthermore, he would benefit from a tax-free salary and maintain control over his image rights, potentially securing lucrative endorsement opportunities.

This offer aligns with the trend of significant financial proposals from Saudi Arabia. A prominent Saudi football official recently offered £100 million to Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese football manager, to coach the Saudi Arabia national team. Additionally, Al Hilal FC made headlines by offering Lionel Messi, the Argentine star, a salary exceeding €400 million per year, establishing him as the highest-paid footballer globally.
