PMD Warns of Heavy Rain and Urban Flooding Across Sindh

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall in Sindh between September 7 and 11 due to a low-pressure system moving from the Bay of Bengal. Karachi is expected to face heavy showers during this period, raising the risk of urban flooding in low-lying areas. While no major rainfall is expected until September 5, the warning gives authorities time to prepare. The upcoming rains may provide relief from heat but could also cause waterlogging, power outages, and traffic disruptions, as seen in previous years. Citizens have been advised to stay cautious, avoid unnecessary travel, and take safety measures during the spell.
