Donald Trump said the U.S. is seeking “right answers” from Iran amid rising tensions, as American forces boarded and later released an Iranian-flagged oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman.
According to reports, U.S. military personnel intercepted the vessel in the Gulf of Oman on suspicion of violating sanctions or blockade rules. After inspection, the tanker was released and instructed to change course.
Trump’s remarks come as maritime tensions continue to escalate in the region, with increased scrutiny of Iranian shipping activity and ongoing diplomatic pressure between Washington and Tehran.
