Pakistan’s textile exports experienced remarkable growth of 10.44% during the first four months of FY 2024-25, reaching $6.146 billion, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
During the same period, the country’s total exports surged by 13.55%, totaling $10.889 billion. October 2024 alone saw exports climb to $2.984 billion, marking a 5.22% increase compared to September and a 10.97% rise compared to October 2023. The textile sector showed robust performance in October, with exports rising by 13.11% to $1.625 billion.
However, not all areas performed equally well. Cotton yarn exports dropped significantly, declining by 45.59% from July to October. On the positive side, rice exports witnessed a substantial increase of 52.53%, reaching $1.084 billion, highlighting growth in Pakistan’s agricultural export sector.
