Pakistan’s Football Federation has proposed Jinnah Stadium for the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has designated Islamabad’s Jinnah Stadium as the site for their upcoming home fixture against Cambodia in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier. This match is scheduled for October 17, following an earlier away game against Cambodia on October 12.

The PFF’s Normalisation Committee (NC) has confirmed that they have communicated the venue details to both the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA, and they are currently awaiting their official approval. Shahid Khokhar, a member of the PFF NC, stated that Jinnah Stadium has been formally proposed as the host venue for the match.

It is anticipated that FIFA will conduct an inspection of the stadium before granting the final authorization. The last significant event held at Jinnah Stadium was the SAFF Women’s Championship in 2014.
