Pakistani players train for fitness at Pakistan Army School in Kakul

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recently released footage showcasing the ongoing fitness camp at Kakul, Abbottabad. Held at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT), the camp sees active participation from Pakistan players engaging in training sessions and gym workouts.

Earlier this week, the PCB disclosed that 29 players, including recently unretired all-rounder Imad Wasim, fast bowler Mohammad Amir, and batsman Usman Khan from PSL 9, have been enlisted for the camp. Scheduled to conclude on April 8, the camp is a collaborative effort with the Pakistan Army, aimed at preparing players for forthcoming series and tournaments. These include the home T20I series against New Zealand, away T20I series against Ireland and England, and the ICC T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies.

Emphasizing its objective, the PCB highlighted the camp’s focus on enhancing players’ physical and mental prowess, fostering teamwork, agility, leadership, strategic acumen, and overall on-field performance. Experienced trainers and coaches are providing guidance throughout the camp to assist players in achieving their objectives.
