Pakistan receives $2bn from Saudi Arabia, confirms State Bank

The State Bank of Pakistan has confirmed that Pakistan received $2 billion from Saudi Arabia on April 15, 2026.

The development comes during Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia to support diplomatic efforts for peace in the Middle East.

Earlier, the kingdom also pledged an additional $3 billion in deposits and extended its existing $5 billion facility for three more years.
