Armed robbers snatched a bag containing Rs2 million from a private company rider in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and escaped, police said on Thursday.
According to reports, the rider had withdrawn the cash from a private bank in Saddar and was returning to his office when suspects allegedly following him intercepted him on the way.
The robbers held him at gunpoint and took the money before fleeing on a motorcycle. CCTV footage showed one suspect wearing a helmet while the other had covered his face with a mask during the escape.
Police said the suspects have been identified and efforts are underway to arrest them soon, while further investigation into the incident continues.
