Pakistan emerged victorious against India in the final match of the Emerging Asia Cup held on 23rd July in Colombo. Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan displayed an excellent performance, scoring a massive total of 352 runs in 50 overs with the loss of 8 wickets.
Tayyab Tahir shone in the innings, scoring an impressive century with 108 runs. The opening batsmen, Saim Ayub (59) and Sahibzada Farhan (65), also contributed significantly to the team’s total. Omair Yousuf and Mubasir Khan added 35 runs each to further bolster the score.
Despite India’s strong bowling performance in the semi-finals, they couldn’t contain Pakistan’s formidable batting lineup. Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Riyan Parag were the standout bowlers for India, each taking two wickets. Harshit Rana, Manav Suthar, and Nishant Sindhu claimed one wicket each.
