The Chief Security Officer of Islamia University Bahawalpur was arrested by Baghdadul Jadid police for possessing ice (crystal meth) and aphrodisiacs. They also found objectionable videos of officials and students on his two mobile phones. The suspect, identified as Syed Ejaz Hussain Shah, admitted to using and selling drugs. Police took action based on intelligence and are working to eliminate drug peddlers from educational institutions. Two other drug traffickers, including a woman, were also arrested in separate incidents with significant amounts of narcotics recovered.
