Rescue teams recovered one body and extinguished a fire at a residential building in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony Number 3 on Wednesday night.
Sindh Rescue 1122 spokesperson Hassaan Khan reported that the fire was controlled thanks to the quick response of the rescue teams. They have also begun cooling down the area and are conducting a search operation inside the building.
The deceased, a 55-year-old man, was found inside. Those who took refuge on the rooftop to escape the fire have been rescued. A final search will be done after the cooling process is finished.
Khan mentioned that five fire brigade vehicles were involved in the operation, and Rescue 1122’s Central Command and Control arrived promptly after being informed about the fire, which started in a shop dealing with oil.
