The Lahore High Court (LHC) reinstated Lieutenant General Munir Afsar as NADRA Chairman on Tuesday, reversing an earlier decision that had invalidated his appointment. The federal government appealed, and a two-member bench led by Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal ruled in Afsar’s favor. Afsar was originally appointed on October 2 last year, following approval by the federal cabinet from a list recommended by the Ministry of Interior.
