The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a warning about a moderate westerly weather system entering northern Pakistan, raising the risk of flash floods, landslides, and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs) in mountainous regions. Areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to face heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds, with possible flooding in river catchment areas and mountain valleys.
