A local court granted pre-arrest bail to qawwal Faraz Amjad Khan after he was booked for performing a song linked to former PM Imran Khan at a government cultural event. The FIR claimed the performance gave the event a ‘political colour.’ The court noted that Amjad has no political affiliations and performed the song at participants’ request. Police had registered the case following the performance at a Walled City of Lahore Authority programme on January 3.
