KP Govt Bids Over Rs. 10 Billion for PIA Stake

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government announced plans to bid for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), offering more than the current highest bid of Rs10 billion from Blue World Consortium. KP’s Vice Chairman of Investment, Hassan Masood Kunwar, conveyed this in a letter, stressing KP’s wish to keep PIA under government control to preserve it as a national asset. By submitting a higher bid, the KP government aims to keep PIA state-run, supporting its stability and public benefit.
