China has launched three astronauts, including Wang Huzi, its first civilian female astronaut, to the Tiangong Space Station on October 31. The mission will last six months, during which the crew will conduct scientific experiments and spacewalks to further China’s space research.
Wang Huzi, a nuclear rocket scientist, aims to explore new rocket engine technologies while in orbit. She expressed her surprise and honor at being selected for this significant mission.
As the current crew prepares to return to Earth on November 4, China looks ahead to ambitious space goals, including a permanent moon base by 2035.
