Karachi to experience cold snap starting January 4

As the cold weather becomes milder, Karachi is expected to experience winter chill again starting January 4, with temperatures dropping to single digits, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Thursday.

The Met Office stated that a weather system entering Balochistan would bring rain and affect Karachi’s weather. As a result, icy winds are expected to blow in the city.

The daily forecast indicates that Karachi will experience normal temperatures, dry conditions, and slightly cold winds.

Early Thursday, the weather department recorded a minimum temperature of 13.5°C, with 58 percent humidity and winds blowing from the north at six kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, other regions, including Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, will be affected by a rain-bearing system, with snowfall expected in Azad Kashmir.
