Sharaf Ali Shah, Chairman of the Karachi Intermediate Board, shared that some students in the board exams submitted answer sheets containing songs, stories, or just the question paper instead of proper answers.
Speaking to the media, he explained that after taking charge, he set up an investigative committee with subject experts and a principal as the convenor to review the results.
He assured that students would be treated fairly and announced the establishment of a complaints cell to address any issues students might face.
During a meeting with the head examiner, it was confirmed that some students had written irrelevant content like stories or songs in their answer sheets. In one case, a student placed a 1,000-rupee note in the answer sheet with a note saying, “This is all I could manage, please pass me.”
After the 11th-grade results were released, concerns were raised by students, parents, and political parties.
