Several private schools in Karachi declared a holiday on Monday after monsoon showers hit various parts of the city. Light to moderate rain was reported early in the morning in areas including Saddar, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Defence, Korangi Road, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain with thunderstorms over the next two days, warning of possible urban flooding in low-lying areas. The monsoon system has also spread to other parts of Sindh, with heavy rainfall recorded in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Thatta, and other districts, while more downpours are expected until September 10.
