Gold prices in Pakistan dropped sharply on Monday, falling by Rs. 3,500 per tola as international rates declined. The price of 24-karat gold now stands at Rs. 420,362 per tola, down from Rs. 423,862 a day earlier, while 10 grams of gold fell by Rs. 3,001 to Rs. 360,392. The global gold market also saw a $35 per ounce decrease, now trading near $3,980. Experts attribute the fall to a stronger US dollar and lower investor demand. Local jewellers report that many buyers are waiting for prices to stabilize. Despite the decline, gold remains a popular investment choice in Pakistan. Analysts expect prices to keep fluctuating based on global market trends and currency movements.
