Former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed has been charged with involvement in political activities, violating the Official Secrets Act, misusing authority, compromising national security, and causing harm to individuals.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that a Field General Court Martial (FGCM) is underway against him.
According to ISPR, Lt Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed is being provided all legal rights in accordance with the law during the proceedings.
Additionally, a separate investigation is examining his alleged involvement in violent incidents, including those from May 9, which led to chaos and unrest in the country. This investigation aims to uncover any intent or connections with political elements suspected of orchestrating these acts.
