Ex-Spymaster Faiz Hameed Gets 14-Year Sentence Under Army Act, Says ISPR

Former ISI chief Faiz Hameed has been sentenced to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment by a military court, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Thursday.

According to ISPR, the Field General Court Martial (FGCM) proceedings began on August 12, 2024, under the Pakistan Army Act and continued for over 15 months. Hameed faced four charges, including involvement in political activities, violating the Official Secrets Act, misuse of authority and government resources, and causing wrongful loss to individuals.

ISPR stated that after extensive legal proceedings, he was found guilty on all counts and handed a 14-year rigorous imprisonment sentence.
