Dar questions IMF’s intentions towards Pakistan

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, known for handling international financial matters, criticized the IMF for delaying fund disbursement after the Pakistan Democratic Movement took over from PTI. He claimed this delay pushed Pakistan towards the risk of default.

Speaking at a Defence Day event in London, Dar suggested that geopolitical factors were involved in sabotaging Pakistan’s negotiations with the IMF. He questioned why, despite completing the technical review, the IMF continued to waste time.
