CM Maryam Nawaz offers money gifts for Holi and Easter to non-Muslims

Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has initiated a special Holi assistance package for the Hindu community. As per the Chief Minister House’s statement, 700 Hindu families will receive financial aid of Rs. 10,000 per individual through this program.

The funds have already been allocated to Deputy Commissioners for distribution among the eligible families. It’s noteworthy that as per the 2023 census, Pakistan is home to over 2.2 million Hindus, according to the National Database Report. This figure reflects the registered Hindu population, amidst a total population of approximately 241.49 million in Pakistan.

Holi, a vibrant celebration symbolizing colors, affection, and the advent of spring, holds significant cultural importance in Hindu traditions.
