China and Pakistan’s Armies Share a Strong Brotherhood, Affirms COAS Asim Munir

Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Asim Munir, lauded the robust and unique bond between Pakistan and China, characterizing their armed forces as “brothers in arms.” He conveyed these sentiments during the commemoration of the 96th anniversary of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) at Rawalpindi’s General Headquarters (GHQ).

The event saw the presence of Chinese embassy officials, including Pang Chunxue and Major General Wang Zhong. General Munir underscored the unwavering resilience of Pakistan-China relations in the face of challenges, highlighting their shared commitment to safeguarding mutual interests.

The Chinese diplomat extolled the strategic partnership between the two nations, accentuating successful military exchanges and the joint celebration of the 10th anniversary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

COAS Asim Munir extended congratulations to the PLA for its contributions to China’s defense, security, and nation-building.
