Chief Justice’s Pension Jumps from Rs560,000 in 2010 to Rs2.39m in 2024: Ministry

The Ministry of Law and Justice has informed the Senate about a significant rise in the pension and post-retirement benefits of the Chief Justice of Pakistan from 2010 to 2024. As per the report, the Chief Justice now receives a monthly pension of Rs2.39 million, while in 2010 it was Rs560,000. Benefits for a judge’s widow include 2,000 free electricity units, free water supply, 300 liters of petrol per month, and the services of a driver and cleaner. The data shows steady yearly increases, with pensions reaching Rs644,000 in 2011, Rs773,000 in 2012, Rs850,000 in 2013, Rs935,000 in 2014, and Rs1.005 million in 2015.
