Asim Munir Says Pakistan Faces Its Enemies Openly, Unlike India

Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said at the National Ulema and Mashayikh Conference in Islamabad that terrorism is not Pakistan’s way but India’s, stressing that Pakistan confronts its enemies openly rather than from hiding. He highlighted the strong link between the State of Madinah and the State of Pakistan, noting that the country has been uniquely entrusted among Muslim nations with the responsibility of protecting the Haramain. Calling the defence agreement with Saudi Arabia historic, he emphasised that nations that abandon knowledge fall into chaos, while unity, hard work and education bring honour and strength. He reiterated that only the state can declare jihad in an Islamic system and urged religious scholars to promote unity and broaden the national outlook, ending with “Long live Pakistan.”
