WhatsApp plans to introduce email verification soon

A select group of WhatsApp beta testers are presently being prompted to verify their accounts using their personal email addresses. This newly introduced feature is currently undergoing limited testing and has been reported by a few beta users.

The purpose of this email verification system is to bolster the security of WhatsApp accounts, adding an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access.

While the feature’s availability is presently restricted, it is anticipated to be made accessible to all users in the near future. Users will be required to input their email addresses and await a verification message without any additional steps.

WhatsApp is actively developing a range of other features, including the ability to have multiple user profiles within a single account, the option to log in using an email address, video navigation features, message pinning, and the capacity to send media as documents to maintain quality on iOS devices.
