The Balochistan High Court (BHC) has granted bail to tribal elder Sardar Sherbaz Khan Satakzai, who was arrested in July over an honour killing case in Quetta’s Degari mining area. Justice Muhammad Iqbal Kasi approved his bail against surety bonds of Rs500,000 after hearing arguments from both sides. Satakzai had been accused of endorsing through a jirga the killing of 40-year-old Bano Bibi and a man, Ehsanullah, who were shot dead in front of locals on the orders of the jirga.
