A tragic incident unfolded in Karachi’s Surjani Town when a three-year-old boy, Asadullah, fell into an open manhole and drowned. The accident occurred while sanitary workers were cleaning a sewerage line, leaving the manhole uncovered. Asadullah was playing outside his home when he accidentally fell in. His mother, realizing he was missing, searched for him and discovered him inside the manhole. Although he was quickly rescued and taken to a nearby hospital, he could not survive. His father, Muhammad Faisal, urged the government to take action to prevent such incidents in the future.
