This Could Be My Final Tweet Before My Imminent Arrest as Police Surround My Residence : Imran Khan

Imran Khan, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, recently took to Twitter to announce that the police have surrounded his residence in Zaman Park, Lahore. In what he referred to as “probably my last tweet,” he expressed his anticipation of another arrest.

The situation has led to the blocking of traffic on Mall Road in Lahore, while a significant police presence has been established around Imran Khan’s house, as well as on Allama Iqbal Road, Garhi Shahu Canal, Dharmpura Bridge, and other nearby areas. Mobile vans carrying armed police officers wearing bulletproof jackets are deployed, evidently prepared for any potential developments. Reports indicate that cars displaying PTI flags are being stopped and held by the authorities.

Last week, Imran Khan’s previous arrest triggered violent protests from his supporters who were expressing their solidarity with the party leader. Unfortunately, these protests resulted in substantial damage to public property across the country. The potential reaction from PTI supporters if Imran Khan were to be arrested again remains uncertain.
