The Sindh Police have recovered Rs. 2.5 crore and 34 tola gold that was stolen from the house of Karachi’s former mayor by the robbers.

A few days ago, there was an incident of robbery at the house of Waseem Akhtar, a former Mayor of Karachi, one of Pakistan’s biggest cities and a major business hub. Akhtar served in this position from 2016-2020.

According to reports, the robbers stole Rs. 2.5 crore in cash and 34-tola gold jewelry from his house, and an FIR was immediately filed for the case. An investigation team was formed and had been working to find the culprits.

After several days of investigation, the Sindh Police have now recovered the stolen Rs. 2.5 crore and 34-tola gold from the thieves who robbed the former mayor’s house.
