The PCB has approached the ICC, requesting them to ensure India’s participation in the Champions Trophy

Pakistan has stated that they will only participate in the upcoming World Cup in India if they receive a commitment from the Indian cricket governing body to visit Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. This demand was communicated to ICC Chairman Greg Barclay and Chief Executive Geoff Allardice during their visit to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s headquarters.

Najam Sethi, the interim chairman of the PCB Management Committee, had previously warned that Pakistan’s boycott of the World Cup was a real possibility due to the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) decision to not send a team for the Asia Cup scheduled in September.

During the discussions between PCB and ICC officials, the revenue sharing plan was also a topic of discussion. Leaked numbers indicated that Pakistan would receive only 5.75 percent of the ICC’s earnings, while India would receive 38.5 percent.
