The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, appointing bowling all-rounder Fatima Sana as the new captain. The tournament will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this October, moved from Bangladesh due to the country’s political situation.
Fatima takes over the captaincy from Nida Dar, a key player with extensive experience, having played 112 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 153 T20 Internationals (T20Is). While Nida’s contributions have been invaluable, the PCB has chosen to give the leadership role to the younger Fatima Sana for this World Cup.
