Mazhar Ahmed has been apprehended by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at Lahore International Airport as he was trying to travel to the United Kingdom using his twin brother’s passport. FIA Immigration officials detected the passenger’s attempt while he was boarding flight VS365 and later offloaded him. The accused was apprehended using the Border Management System records.
The FIA spokesperson stated that the accused, Mazhar Ahmed, was trying to use his twin brother’s passport, Wajahat Ahmed, who was on a study visa, to travel abroad. The preliminary investigation has revealed that Mazhar Ahmed belongs to Chiniot and disguised himself as his twin brother to board the flight to the UK. The accused has been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore for further legal action.
