State Bank Declares December 25 Public Holiday Nationwide on Quaid-e-Azam’s Birth Anniversary

The State Bank of Pakistan has declared December 25 a nationwide public holiday on the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, during which the State Bank, commercial banks, development finance institutions, and microfinance banks will remain closed. All banking operations, including clearing and settlement services, will be suspended for the day, while the public has been advised to plan financial activities in advance. ATMs are expected to operate normally, and online banking, mobile apps, and digital payment services will remain available as per individual bank policies. The day will be observed across Pakistan with official ceremonies, seminars, and flag-hoisting events to honor the founder of the nation.
