Sindh Grants Grace Marks to Karachi Board Students

The Sindh cabinet has officially approved a 20% grace marks allotment in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for first-year students under the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK). This decision comes after a sub-committee report highlighted issues in recent exam results. While an earlier parliamentary recommendation suggested varying grace marks—15% for Math and Physics, and 20% for Chemistry—the cabinet, led by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, decided on a uniform 20% across all three subjects. The chief minister also emphasized the need for educational reforms and directed the chief secretary to investigate irregularities in all provincial education boards.
