Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah Approves Rs1.5bn for Karachi Road Repairs After Rain

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah approved Rs1.5 billion to fix Karachi roads damaged by monsoon rains. Since August 27, Karachi has seen 226mm of rain, causing major roads to collapse and mix with sewage, making them unusable. During a meeting, CM Shah emphasized strict action against those responsible for poor-quality road construction and called for an inquiry into roads built after 2022 that have been damaged. Key officials, including Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, attended the meeting.
