PTI’s Vice Chairman, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, has been rearrested outside Adiala Jail shortly after his release, as confirmed by the party. In a statement, Qureshi was quoted as affirming his steadfast allegiance to the party, stating, “I am with the party, I will stay with the party.”
The re-arrest of PTI leaders, workers, and supporters, along with allegations of “custodial torture,” have drawn strong condemnation from party chief Imran Khan. Khan has vowed to resist these actions until his last breath, highlighting the brazen violation of the constitution and Supreme Court rulings. He further expressed concern that the police are being employed to suppress PTI, forcing its leaders to abandon the party. In a tweet, Khan emphasized that yielding to such cruelty would result in the demise of the nation.
