Saudi Crown Prince expected to visit Pakistan in September

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, is scheduled to make a brief six-hour visit to Pakistan on September 10th, before embarking on an official state visit to India. His appointment as the country’s prime minister was declared through a royal decree last year.

Since assuming power in 2017, Prince Mohammed has spearheaded significant transformations within Saudi Arabia. He has diligently worked on economic diversification, moving the nation beyond its heavy reliance on oil, and has initiated reforms such as granting women the right to drive while diminishing the influence of religious leaders in society.

During a visit to Saudi Arabia in April, former Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif engaged in discussions with the Saudi Prime Minister, exploring avenues to bolster the relationship between the two nations.
