Saudi Arabia Introduces First of its Kind Stopover Visa for the World

The establishment of a new stopover visa has been announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), in partnership with the Ministries of Tourism (MT), Interior (MOI), Hajj and Umrah (MOHU), Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), SAUDIA, and flynas.
The unrestricted Saudi Arabia’s most recent effort to increase the accessibility of the destination is the Stopover Visa, which is available to more nations than the traditional tourism eVisa.

Four of the top ten busiest international routes were to or from Saudi Arabia in Q1 of 2022, when airline capacity into Saudi Arabia increased by more than 65%.
Passengers will be permitted to stay in the nation for a maximum of 96 hours with the stopover visa.
